Registering Online: Easy as 1, 2, 3
3 Simple Steps to Register for Summer Classes as a Visiting Student
1. Determine your course context Prefix. Click here to see a list of TCNJ course prefixes.
2. Determine your course information.
- Find your Summer Course(s) by clicking on the “Course Catalog” link in the box to the left. The courses are organized alphabetically by prefix, and then numerically by course type.
- Select your search criteria using the prefix you identified in step 1, press search, and see the results!
- When you find the course you are interested in, jot down the following information for each course:
- Course Title
- Course PAWS ID Number
- Course Times & Days of the Week
- Course Dates/Session
- Number of Units
3. Once you have determined that information, click on the link below that corresponds with your desired course’s term to register. If you would like to register for several courses that differ in term, you will have to fill out each term application that corresponds with your courses.
Additional Considerations after Registration
- After you have completed the Registration Request Form, your request will be processed by the Office of Records and Registration and you will be admitted into the course.
- You will receive an E-Mail Confirmation Letter for your registration request with 48 hours of your initial submission. For weekend submissions, this 48 hours begins on Monday morning. This certifies your registration into the course. This e-mail will include payment instructions, as well as the link for the orientation packet.
- Pay your bill!
Please note: A non-refundable $75.00 visiting student fee will be placed on your account at the time of your enrollment in a course. This fee will not be refunded should you choose to drop or withdraw from a course.
We strongly encourage that you register online to expedite your registration process. However, you can also register by mail or in-person if necessary.
Registering by Mail:
- Find your Summer Course(s)
- Fill out the Mail-In Registration Request Form for Visiting Students. Please keep in mind that this is a formal request and does not guarantee admittance into the course. If you are not registered for the course, your payment WILL be refunded.

Registering In-Person:
To register in person, please visit the Office of Summer/Winters Programs, in Green Hall 203. Office hours are Monday 12:-4:30, Wednesday 11:00-4:30, and Thursday 11:30-4:30.
This method of registration must be accompanied with payment by check* or money order. This method will guarantee registration only if the course is open at the time of submitting registration.
